Plymouth Rock is telling the "classic" often incorrect version of his History, and the Fact-checker comes in with her red pen to correct him.
A fun little detail I like from this spread is the books on the Fact-checker's book shelves are the ones cited in the Bibliography, bringing a bit of the research process for this book into the illustrations.
Of course histories of Colonialism are dark. Though it is a children's book, we tried not to shy away from that side of this story.
The Fact-checker is always poking fun at the rock.
